Orthotics or TCI are special
shoe inserts which can achieve the following: relieve areas of
excessive plantar pressure, reduce shock, reduce shear, accommodate
deformities, stabilize foot and limit the motion of the joints. Custom
or ready-made, these inserts should always be prescribed by a
professional and fabricated by an experienced technician. Fitting these
inserts inside ones shoes needs special attention and usually requires
an XtraDepth shoe. Remember, only the combination of well designed and
properly fitted orthotics inside ones shoe can achieve desired results.
